COMPARATIVE EFFICACY OF ANTIPARASITIC AGENTS FEBTAL, ALBEN AND ALEZAN AT HELMINTHOSES OF HORSES

Summary

Alezan at dose level of 0,2 (according to ivermectin) and 1,0 (according to praziquantel) mg/kg of body weight as a paste showed 100% efficacy against all helminths found in horses in the Nizhegorodsk Region. Alben showed 99,1% efficacy against gastrointestinal Strongylata, 91,2% - against Anoplocephala spp. and 86,4% - against Parascaris equorum at dose level 3,75 g/kg of body weight. Finally febtal at dose level of 1 g per 22 kg of body weight was 98% efficient against gastrointestinal Strongylata, Oxyuris equi and Trichonema spp. infections.
