Summary.

The flighting period of gadflies in the North-East Yakutia begins from the second-third decade of June and finishes at the beginning of the first decade of August; the total duration of gadfly activity is 56 days. Falls in temperature at the beginning of a season cause reduction of flighting period up to 47 days. The highest gadfly population is noted at pastures in the second decade of July (the most warm month in summer).
