Babesia spp. infections of dogs in the Upper-Volga Area.

Summary. In the natural foci of Babesia spp. infections in the Upper-Volga Area one detected three causative agents attributed to B. canis, B. vogeli and B. rossi. More frequently Babesia spp. infection was recorded in the form of mixed infectin caused by the above three Babesia species. B. canis monoinfection was noted in 8% of infected dog. The mixed infection caused by three causative agents was recorded in 17% of infected dogs.
