TO THE QUESTION OF HELMINTH INFECTION RATES IN DOGS OF THE TBILISI CITY

Summary

7 helminthoses have been revealed in dogs of the Tbilisi city namely Dipylidium caninum, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Dirofilaria spp. and Trichocephalus spp. infections. It has been found that 32,4% of tested dogs of all ages are infected by causative agents of the above helminthoses. Dogs aged 7 months to 1 year are predominantly infected (57,1%); T. leonina infection appears to be the most spread helminthose.
