Role of tour circus dogs in prevalence of Dirofilaria repens and D. immitis infections.

Summary. For the first time one have recorded that D. repens and D. immitis infection prevalence among circus dogs is high (IE=22,2%). With account of wide migration of troop from one region to an other and financial difficulties of prophylactic measures and tight contact with humans circus dogs appear to be the important source of D. repens and D. immitis prevalence among both carnivores and humans.
