Development and survival of Dicrocoelium lanceatum metacercaria (Stilles et Hassal, 1896) in ants at the territory of the Tersk-Sulaksk Lowland of Dagestan.

Summary. At the territory of the Tersk-Sulaksk howland of Dagestan ants are infected by D. lanceatum metacercaria in all seasons and especially with high infection values in summer and  autumn. The infection rates in ants have varied 9,1 to 56,6% as while the maximum values have been recorded for F. pratensis. 10 ant species are the additional hosts of D. lanceatum in biocenoses of the Tersk-Sulaksk lowland: Formica pratensis, F. ruffa, F. polyctena, F. cineria, F. foreli, F. cunicularia armenica, F. rufibarbis, Proformica nosata, Lasius niger, L. flavus.
