CENTRAL-ASIAN TICK BORRELIA INFECTION IN THE ISFARINSK MOUNTAIN-RIVER VALLEY

Summary

In past years the high incidence of tick Borellia infection has been recorded. In 50 years only migrants have been infected as while beginning from 1968 exclusively local population is infected. Men have the higher rates of infection compared with women. In some families two members are infected and often the neighbours are infected. Infection takes place in private houses. Beginning from 2004 the rates of infection have become less and from 2010 infection is not recorded.
