TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF BABESIA SPP. INFECTION CAUSATIVE AGENT IN CATTLE IN THE KIROV REGION

 Summary

The Babesia spp. infection causative agent in cattle in the Kirov Region appeared to be intraerythrocyte parasite attributed to genus Babesia, species Babesia bigemina (Piroplasma bigeminum) (Smith et Kilborne, 1893). That conclusion was made at the basis of data on morphological peculiarities of blood parasites found in of cattle.
