There are few reports concerning prevalence of animal ascariases among humans particularly such dangerous as T. canis infection in carnivores, Ascaris suum in pigs and Baylisascaris procyonis infection in raccoons (larva migrans). Meningoencephalitis caused by B. procyonis is especially dangerous resulting in disability at the level of 90% and this disease often leads to death. With account of helminth infection danger for humans it is necessary to monitor the situation using different assys including immunological ones. One proposes to decontaminate places of feces accumulation by 0,3% solution of sodium azide.
